The Tanpan makes Shimano 10- and 11-speed road shifters work with 10- and 11-speed mountain bike rear derailleurs. This adapter brings the range and security of Shimano mountain rear derailleurs to Shimano-equipped drop-bar bicycles, offering a greater gearing range for bigger adventures, better chain security for rough terrain, and lighter weight for daily commutes.
The Tanpan amplifies road shifter cable pull to allow seamless communication with mountain derailleurs. Ideal for riders converting their road, gravel, cyclocross, or commuter bike to a single chainring setup or those needing lower gearing than a typical double can provide. At just 17g, the Tanpan installs in moments and features an indexed barrel adjuster for quick cable adjustment. Each unit is CNC machined in the USA with precision stainless steel hardware and a sealed cartridge bearing.
